The Australian Lapidary Club Directory is offering free hosting to all Australian lapidary clubs to allow them to build or re-host their existing website on our hosting.  We will provide you with similar tools to those you would get if you paid for the hosting e.g. you will be able to manage your website with a Helm Control Panel, set up your own email addresses, FTP accounts to the website, etc. 

We also offer  a sub-domain of http://www.lapidaryclub.com.au such as http://bribieisland.lapidaryclub.com.au free of charge to save your club the expense of setting up their own domain name.  So not only can you take advantage of free hosting, you can also avoid confusing names such as http://www.wcet.org.au/create/lapidary/.

Perhaps you would just like us to set up a redirection to your website to make it simpler for interested users to find your website e.g. http://illawarra.lapidaryclub.com.au which redirects to the http://www.wcet.org.au/create/lapidary/ URL mentioned above.  It doesn't get rid of the confusing URL but it is easier for potential users to remember.

Alternatively, see how re-hosting your website would look on our hosting - http://illawarra.lapidaryclub.com.au.  Note that as you change pages the URL still shows http://illawarra.lapidaryclub.com.au/pagename.html whereas redirecting shows http://www.wcet.org.au/create/lapidary/pagename.html.

We do not insist on placing advertising on your website though it would be appreciated as it will allow us to further defray the cost of providing the free hosting.  We do require that you prominently place a specifically worded link back to the  Australian Lapidary Club Directory at the bottom of every page of your site e.g. Hosting provided free by the  Australian Lapidary Club Directory.
